Nancy Shukri's husband laid to rest in Kuching

Datuk Kamil Misuari, husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, has been laid to rest at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery.

KUCHING - Datuk Kamil Misuari, the husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, was laid to rest at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery here at 5.15 pm today.

About 100 family members and close friends attended the funeral to pay their final respects.

Earlier, Kamil's remains were flown from Kuala Lumpur and arrived at Kuching International Airport at 12.50 pm before being taken to the family residence for funeral prayers ahead of the burial.

Yesterday, the minister’s office said in a statement that Kamil had died at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

Kamil, 65, married Nancy in 1985 and is survived by his wife and their three children. - BERNAMA
