Schoolboy kicked by classmate over alleged harassment of girlfriend, video surfaces online
Based on the victim's statement, one of the suspects had hit and kicked him after being told by a friend that the victim had allegedly harassed his girlfriend, an allegation the victim denied.

ALOR SETAR – A video showing a male student being kicked by his schoolmate has exposed an incident that the victim had earlier tried to keep secret.
The incident, which occurred at the Taman Uda football field here on June 16, was known only to the school and the victim's family after the video went viral on social media.
Kota Setar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Syed Basri Syed Ali said a report was lodged at 12.35pm on June 20 by the victim's 53-year-old father.
He said the complainant informed police that he learned of the incident after being told by his nephew about a video showing his 14-year-old son being beaten by two individuals while playing football.
"Investigations found that the incident occurred at around 5.30pm on June 16, and the video recording later went viral on social media.
"The victim and both suspects have been acquaintances since Year One and live in the same neighbourhood. They also study at the same school and in the same class," he said on Thursday.
He said initial investigations found that there had been no prior disputes or issues between the victim and the two suspects before the incident.
According to him, based on the victim's statement, one of the suspects had hit and kicked him after being told by a friend that the victim had allegedly harassed his girlfriend, an allegation the victim denied.
"Investigations found that one of the suspects kicked the victim once in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground.
"The same suspect then kicked the victim again on the side of his body while he was on the ground," he said.
He explained that another suspect who was nearby also pushed the victim with his foot, causing him to fall further. However, according to the victim, only one suspect had kicked him.
He added that the victim, who did not sustain any injuries, did not inform the school or his parents about the incident because he did not want to make the matter bigger.
"The school and family only learned of the incident after the video went viral on social media, posted by an unknown individual.
"The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing injury," he said.
