SHAH ALAM – The official website of the Health Ministry (MOH) (www.moh.gov.my) is believed to have been hacked after it displayed a message allegedly left by the party that breached the website's server.

A check found screenshots shared on social media showing the official MOH website displaying a message from MUSHR00W, along with a Telegram account believed to belong to the hacker.

The page also carried the slogan "We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us."

It also listed several names or groups, namely "WebshellsR", "Familia", "Bibil", "MeshSec", "Illegalplatform.org", "Roween" and "Thiscitze".

Following this, MOH confirmed that its official website had been hacked and said immediate action was taken to address the situation.

The ministry advised the public not to access the website for the time being until further notice.

"The public is reminded not to click on any suspicious links or download any files from the website to avoid any cybersecurity risks.

"All official information and announcements related to health will continue to be channelled through social media platforms as well as MOH's other official channels," it said in a Facebook posting on Saturday.

MOH also apologised for any inconvenience caused and said further developments would be shared as soon as possible.

"The security of data and the delivery of public services are our priority," the statement read.
