Johor polls: PKR's Danish Hairudin slams Onn Hafiz over 11 unfulfilled BN pledges from 2022
In a strongly worded Facebook post, Danish argued that Onn Hafiz's recent attacks on Pakatan Harapan (PH) for not yet unveiling its official election manifesto was simply a tactical move to divert public attention from his own governing record.

SHAH ALAM - PKR Youth information chief Danish Hairudin has criticised caretaker Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi for failing to deliver at least 11 key pledges from Barisan Nasional's (BN) 2022 state election manifesto.
In a strongly worded Facebook post, Danish argued that Onn Hafiz's recent attacks on Pakatan Harapan (PH) for not yet unveiling its official election manifesto was simply a tactical move to divert public attention from his own governing record.
Danish detailed a comprehensive list of 11 high-profile infrastructure projects, financial schemes, and welfare initiatives from the 2022 election cycle that he claims have completely stalled under BN’s administration namely both Batu Pahat Barter Trade Port and the Johor Digital Wholesale Market have failed to materialise despite being highlighted as primary economic drivers and the highly publicised RM100 million interest-free loan framework promised through the Johor Niaga platform was dropped with zero post-election continuity
On top of that, a promised RM150 grant for middle-income students (families earning between RM3,001 and RM7,000) was never implemented, while a separate RM500 allocation for B40 university students was quietly cut down to RM200. General welfare assistance under the Social Welfare Department also missed its targeted increase to RM500.
Beyond that, planned expansion of Klinik Wakaf An-Nur to every single district never occurred, the Johor Women's Institute was never founded, and an expected RM1,000 assistance package for first-time young couples was scaled back to just RM400. Furthermore, promised allowance hikes for local imams, bilals, nojas, and siaks remained unchanged.
Danish also questioned the originality of the current BN campaign strategy, noting:
"Before questioning other parties' manifestos, Onn Hafiz should first explain why so many BN promises remain unfulfilled after more than four years administering Johor.
"Several of BN's manifesto pledges were not even new ideas. The plan to make Muar the national furniture hub is redundant when Muar has already been known as Malaysia's Furniture City since 2018."
Danish emphasised that PH is completely prepared to present its governance agenda to the electorate but is intentionally avoiding grand, unrealistic campaign slogans. Moving forward into the election cycle, PH will officially table 10 focused offers tailored strictly to contemporary economic realities and actual state implementation capacity.
"The people of Johor have grown more discerning. They are no longer easily swayed by grand launches or beautiful slogans; they judge a leader by their record, performance and courage in upholding their responsibilities," he wrote.
Onn Hafiz previously defended his administration’s track record during the launch of BN’s updated 16th state election manifesto. The new document contains 63 specific pledges aimed at preserving regional political stability and expanding on the economic gains of the past four years.
In an independent press briefing, the caretaker Menteri Besar stood by the coalition's performance, countering that the BN state government had already fulfilled more than 80 per cent of the development goals outlined in its previous election report card.
