JOHOR BAHRU - Three state assembly (DUN) seats became the earliest announced as won by Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Johor state election (PRN).

The seats are Machap, Sedili, and Kukup, according to unofficial results broadcast live on the Election Commission's (SPR) Facebook page. Although the counting process is still underway, the majority received by the candidates has far outpaced their rivals and exceeded the winning majority.

Furthermore, the remaining uncounted ballot papers make it impossible for competitors to overtake the BN candidates.

Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi from UMNO is contesting against Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Nur Hafiz Roslan, while Muszaidee Makmor is defending the Sedili seat in a three-cornered fight against PH and Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates.

Meanwhile, for the Kukup seat, Mohd Israk Abdullah from UMNO is retaining the seat won by Datuk Jefridin Atan in the previous state election.
