Radio United, Menteri Agama FC strengthen unity through friendly football match

SERI KEMBANGAN - A friendly football match between Radio United and Menteri Agama FC brought together radio presenters, government representatives and public figures in a display of unity, sportsmanship and community engagement.
Held yesterday at AG Sports Arena in Seri Kembangan, the match was part of Radio United’s initiative to strengthen ties among radio presenters from various broadcasting organisations while promoting friendship and healthy living.
It also served to foster closer engagement between the broadcasting industry and government representatives through sport.
The event was graced by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan, who captained Menteri Agama FC wearing the number 10 jersey and scored two goals during the friendly encounter.

Radio United organiser Faizul Farouk Mohan said the initiative was founded with the aim of bringing together radio presenters from across the country under a shared platform.
"Radio United was created to unite radio presenters from different broadcasting organisations under one platform that celebrates friendship, sportsmanship and community values.
“While we may work in different organisations, we share the same passion for connecting with people and contributing positively to society.
"Football is simply the medium. The real objective is to bring people together, strengthen friendships and create opportunities for future collaborations that benefit both the broadcasting industry and the wider community," he told Sinar Daily.
Looking ahead, he said Radio United aims to expand its programmes by involving presenters from government broadcasting organisations alongside those from the wider Malaysian radio industry.
He added that the long-term vision is for Radio United to become an inclusive platform that brings together presenters from across the industry, fostering collaboration to create meaningful programmes that promote positive values and strengthen connections with the public.
Speaking to Sinar Daily after the match, Zulkifli said the event formed part of the Riadah Madani programme introduced more than two years ago to encourage healthy lifestyles while strengthening relationships across different sectors.
"Every month, we organise friendly football matches with government agencies, corporate partners, as well as celebrities, members of the arts community, singers and others.
"This time we are holding the Riadah Madani programme together with Radio United, as we aim to strengthen the spirit of ‘ukhuwah’ (brotherhood) with the DJs and the Radio United team.
"Alhamdulillah, the message we want to convey is that while we take part in sports and recreational activities, we can also use this platform to further strengthen unity," he said.

Several well-known personalities from Malaysia's broadcasting and entertainment industry also took part in the match, including radio presenters Fara Fauzana, Kieran (Maskiran Jakiran) and Pak Tam (Rostam Said), as well as singer Tomok (Shah Indrawan Ismail).
Radio United also extended its appreciation to Zulkifli, Menteri Agama FC, sponsors, strategic partners, volunteers, media representatives and everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The organiser expressed hope that the friendly match would mark the beginning of many more collaborative initiatives centred on unity, sportsmanship and community engagement throughout Malaysia.
Radio United is an independent platform established to bring together radio presenters from across Malaysia through sports, community engagement and social initiatives, with the goal of strengthening friendships within the broadcasting fraternity while encouraging collaboration and positive contributions beyond the studio.
