'I have no ties to my brother's company's contract' - Azam Baki
Azam said he knows nothing about the matter.

SHAH ALAM - Tan Sri Azam Baki has stressed that he has no connection to the awarding of a RM178.29 million contract to a company linked to his brother, Datuk Nasir Baki.
Azam said he knows nothing about the matter.
"That's his business dealings. So does this mean anyone connected to me will be questioned?
"I have retired and it is up to the ministry to award the project to his company," he said when contacted on Tuesday.
Azam was commenting on a report by The Edge Malaysia which claimed that Integriti Padu Sdn Bhd had secured a six-year contract to develop and operate the Road Charge and Vehicle Entry Permit (RC/VEP) system at the Malaysia-Singapore border.
Azam, who retired as Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on May 12, also defended his family, saying they should not be targeted simply because of their family ties to him.
"My family are all good people. I also have a sister who is a well-known ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist in this country.
"Does this mean she will also come under scrutiny?" he said.
According to The Edge's report, the Transport Ministry awarded the RM178.29 million contract to the company on May 26 following a request for proposal (RFP) process issued in June last year.
