ISKANDAR PUTERI - Operations at the Network School premises in Forest City have come to a standstill following the revocation of its business license by the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) on Wednesday.
A site visit revealed a temporary closure notice posted on the main entrance, while the signboard displaying the school's name had been removed. However, several security guards were seen stationed inside the premises to monitor the situation.
Earlier, MBIP announced that the business license for NSO Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Network School) was cancelled, ordering all company activities to cease immediately after failing to comply with several licensing conditions.
Among the primary violations identified was operating without a valid license at one of its premises.
The Johor state government expressed full support for MBIP's decision, reiterating that the enforcement action was strictly executed in accordance with the law following thorough inspection reports, enforcement findings, and representations submitted by the company.
Johor Chief Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi stressed that the state government takes licensing breaches seriously and will not compromise with any party failing to abide by set regulations.
He added that the state government will continue to work closely with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM), and relevant agencies to ensure full legal compliance, particularly concerning the status of international students affected by the school's closure.
