Sorak Sampai Serak brought Malaysian fighting spirit to bigger stage at Riuh Bola Sinar viewing party

SHAH ALAM – Sorak Sampai Serak took centre stage at the Riuh Bola Sinar viewing party on July 19 and 20, providing the football supporters' movement with its biggest platform yet to conclude the season while promoting its message of passion, unity and fighting spirit through football.

Sorak Sampai Serak founder Jamkhairouddin Johar described the movement's participation in Sinar Daily's World Cup Final viewing party as a significant milestone.

Having previously organised smaller football viewing sessions, mainly for English Premier League (EPL) matches at mamak restaurants, he said the collaboration with Sinar Daily, together with sponsors and partners, created the ideal opportunity to reach a much wider audience.

"Sorak Sampai Serak decided to participate in the Riuh Bola Sinar Viewing Party as a way to conclude the football season on a larger stage. Previously, the group had organised several smaller viewing sessions at mamak restaurants, mainly for EPL matches.

"When the opportunity arose to be part of Sinar Daily's World Cup Final viewing party, it was seen as the ideal platform, with the collaboration between Sinar Daily, sponsors and partners expected to attract a much larger audience.

"The strong turnout at the event reflected that expectation," he said.

Jamkhairouddin expressed appreciation for the support from Difflam AB, noting that the product naturally resonated with passionate football supporters who often cheered until they lost their voices.

He also described the response from visitors as encouraging. By 10.30pm, about half of the 100 Sorak Sampai Serak goodie bags prepared with lucky draw numbers had already been distributed, despite the FIFA World Cup final still being four and a half hours away.

Even several hours before the 3am kick-off, the atmosphere at the event was already lively and vibrant.

"At its core, Sorak Sampai Serak is a movement that celebrates the fighting spirit of people.

“Football was chosen as the movement's main focus because of its broad appeal, providing an effective platform to promote the message of celebrating the Malaysian fighting spirit through a sport that unites people.

"The movement aims to encourage people to wholeheartedly support the individuals and teams they believe in, as the values of determination and commitment extend beyond sports into everyday life, such as a family member competing in a cooking competition.

“These are the principles Sorak Sampai Serak hopes to promote through its participation in events such as the Riuh Bola Sinar Viewing Party," he added.

Jamkhairouddin credited the collaboration led by Sinar Daily as one of the key factors behind the programme’s success, saying the involvement of sponsors, partners and collaborators helped draw a larger crowd and highlighted the importance of strong partnerships in organising a successful community event.

The event also brought back memories for Jamkhairouddin, who previously attended Sinar Daily’s 2022 FIFA World Cup final viewing party between Argentina and France at Hakim Restaurant in Section 7, Shah Alam, the same venue chosen for the Riuh Bola Sinar Viewing Party for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

"Having attended Sinar Daily's 2022 World Cup Final viewing party between Argentina and France at the same venue as a guest, the experience remained memorable because of the event, its sponsors and the unforgettable match itself.

“The hope is that attendees of this year's viewing party will leave with similarly lasting memories and fans will remember Sorak Sampai Serak as part of that experience," he said.

During the Riuh Bola Sinar Viewing Party held on July 19 and 20, Sorak Sampai Serak had four original football jerseys as lucky draw prizes, comprising two Spain jerseys and two Argentina jerseys.

The Riuh Bola Sinar x redONE Mobile x RTM programme transformed Hakim Restaurant into a vibrant football venue as supporters gathered to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

The 12-hour programme featured football-themed activities, including EA FC PS5 tournaments, quizzes, football commentary sessions and lucky draws, while attracting fans of all ages and backgrounds in a celebration of football and community spirit.
