SEREMBAN - Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar claims that Pakatan Harapan (PH) is using the much-talked about cooperation between Barisan Nasional (BN) and PN as a propaganda tool to influence voters into rejecting the coalition.

He said despite leaders from the coalition having explained multiple times that the cooperation does not revolve around racial issues, PH continues to harp on the matter.

"If we look at this propaganda, they think that when things are repeated over and over, people will eventually believe it.

"However, I believe the rakyat are now politically literate. With information at everyone's fingertips, each person can check what was said five or 10 years ago, which has been recorded.

"So that issue does not even arise. They are actually the ones creating such problems, which can be seen from past records," he said during a press conference after attending the 'Nogori Beradat, Kito Muafakat' program today.

Samsuri also denied allegations that Pas frequently uses DAP as a campaign tool to garner support, particularly among Malay voters.

The Terengganu Menteri Besar claimed that the problems currently plaguing PH actually stem from internal weaknesses within the coalition itself.

"What is happening is 'self-destruction', they are the ones causing problems for themselves. So why label us as 'chanting' the same thing? The problems are created by themselves. They need to do some self-reflection," he said when responding to reporters' questions regarding claims that the party frequently uses DAP as a campaign tool throughout the Negeri Sembilan State Election.

In a related development, Negeri Sembilan Umno Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias stated that PH is using the BN-PN cooperation narrative as a campaign tool to sow racial hatred.

He said this tactic is meant to divert attention away from their own weaknesses.

"Inciting racial issues has been their culture for a long time, used as political capital during election seasons to defeat certain parties, especially Umno and BN.

"This is because we have proven in several states led by PN and Pas that all races are well-cared for and managed properly.

"Whether in terms of development, public welfare, education, or the preservation of heritage, customs and religion, everything is managed well," he said.
