Anthony Loke accepts Chennah defeat: "Thank you, everyone. Please do not feel disheartened or disappointed."
Loke said the Pakatan Harapan (PH) campaign team had given its best effort in defending the seat but fell short by more than 500 votes.

SHAH ALAM - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has accepted his defeat in the Chennah state seat during the Negeri Sembilan state election, thanking supporters while assuring them that the party would continue standing with them.
In a video posted by Sin Chew Daily on Facebook, Loke said the Pakatan Harapan (PH) campaign team had given its best effort in defending the seat but fell short by more than 500 votes.
"I would like to thank everyone. Please do not feel disheartened or disappointed. We will continue to stand together with all of you.
"Although we were unable to win this seat, all of you will always remain in our hearts," he said.

Loke, who had represented Chennah since 2013, lost the seat to Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Siow Kong Choon in a two-way contest.
Unofficial results showed Siow Kong Choon obtaining 5,418 votes or 52 per cent, out of the 10,345 votes cast across all candidates.
If the unofficial results are confirmed by the Election Commission (EC), the outcome would mark the end of Loke's tenure as the Chennah state assemblyman after holding the seat for more than a decade.
