UEFA launches Clear Line platform to improve refereeing decision consistency
The platform is set to offer guidance on how the Laws of the Game should be interpreted along with VAR intervention with the aim of bringing a more consistent application of decisions.

LONDON - Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the launch of Clear Line, a repository of refereeing situations.
The platform is set to offer guidance of how the Laws of the Game should be interpreted along with VAR intervention with the aim of bringing a more consistent application of decisions.
The organisation added that Clear Line has more than 150 refereeing scenarios guiding on law interpretation and when VAR should or should not intervene at both domestic and UEFA competition level.
It also reinforces that video review should only be used for clear and obvious errors.
UEFA Refereeing Director Roberto Rosetti said: "Clear Line is designed to provide clear and precise guidance to match officials across European football, helping to ensure greater consistency in decision-making across competitions and a more standardized approach to the use of VAR for the benefit of the game.
"While no two incidents are ever identical and occasional mistakes remain inevitable, Clear Line will provide a central reference point for players, coaches, commentators and fans. It will help explain the rationale behind refereeing decisions and promote a greater understanding of the decision-making process.” - BERNAMA
