Mystery midnight knocking alarms Langgar residents
Similar incidents have reportedly occurred in Taman Vistana, Taman Amira, Taman Awana and Taman Lelasari, as well as Pekan Langgar.

ALOR SETAR - Residents in several neighbourhoods around Jalan Langgar have reported hearing loud knocking on their doors late at night, only to find no one outside.
The unexplained incidents, reportedly occurring since Sunday, have caused concern after a two-minute-and-25-second CCTV recording went viral on social media.
Knocking can be clearly heard in the footage, although no one is visible outside the house.
Similar incidents have reportedly occurred in Taman Vistana, Taman Amira, Taman Awana and Taman Lelasari, as well as Pekan Langgar.
Taman Vistana resident Shahira Azizan, 31, said she heard repeated knocking at about 10.45pm on Sunday and initially thought her husband had returned home.

“I heard the knocking several times. My child ran into my room thinking it was my husband at the door, but when I checked, no one was there,” she said on Tuesday.
Shahira said her husband and the neighbourhood block leader later reviewed the CCTV footage but found no sign of anyone outside the house.
Taman Awana resident Mohd Hasbullah Ahmad, 40, said he went outside at about 12.30am after hearing a loud knock.
“I came out immediately because the knocking was so clear. I was worried there might be an emergency, but there was nobody there,” he said.
He urged the authorities to increase patrols around Jalan Langgar to reassure residents and determine whether the incidents posed a security threat.
The unexplained knocking has also become widely discussed on social media, with several users claiming to have experienced similar incidents.
One user, identified as nurrfariha, said her door was knocked on repeatedly during the night, while neighbours also heard the sound.
“Is anyone here from Alor Setar? Someone repeatedly knocked on our house in the middle of the night, and the neighbours heard it too,” she wrote.

She claimed CCTV footage failed to capture anyone outside and said she was considering installing an additional security camera.
Residents have urged the authorities to investigate whether the incidents are linked to criminal activity or any other threat to public safety.
Kota Setar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Syed Basri Syed Ali said the department would issue a statement on the matter.
