KUALA LUMPUR - The remains of the late Tun Dr Hasmah Mohd Ali were transported from the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 10:48 am today to her residence in The Mines, Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

A sombre atmosphere enveloped the IJN grounds as the vehicle carrying the remains of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s wife departed for her home.

Family members seen at IJN included her children, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

Police personnel and IJN security guards were stationed at the entrance to manage the crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Media personnel were also present to cover the event and obtain the latest updates.

As of now, IJN has not issued any statement regarding the passing of the late Dr Hasmah.

Earlier, she was confirmed to have passed away at IJN this morning at the age of 100. - BERNAMA
