KUALA LUMPUR - Police are maintaining round-the-clock security at former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s residence in Jalan Langgak Duta.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the security deployment would remain in place pending further instructions.

"We provided security from the outset when we received the notification, and it remains in place today. We are there 24 hours a day while awaiting further instructions,” he told reporters here today.

He said personnel from the Sentul District Police Headquarters and Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters were involved in the security deployment.

Police and the Prisons Department had earlier conducted a joint assessment of security arrangements at the residence in preparation for the implementation of Najib’s house arrest. - BERNAMA
