A helicopter has reportedly crashed at Batu 8, Jalan Lama Kuala Lumpur, Bentong earlier today.

The fatal accident at KM51.3 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway heading towards the Bentong Toll Plaza this morning is believed to have occurred when the driver of the tour bus lost control of the vehicle, which then skidded and overturned.

Bentong District Police Chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the discovery of the body of the victim identified as Jeka Gedeng, 36, was reported to the police at about 8.55am.

Police revealed that the cause of death of the 79-year-old man was "respiratory arrest secondary to acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”.
