The Film Censorship Board (LPF) has clarified that its authority in implementing content censorship is limited to films and publicity materials shown through conventional channels such as cinemas and television.

The Malaysian Film Censorship Board (LPF) has no objection to television stations doing their own censorship of the content of films or dramas that will be broadcast on their respective platforms.

Saifuddin said the classifications are ‘U’ for viewers of all ages, ‘P12’ (parental guidance is required for viewers under the age of 12), ‘13’ (for viewers aged 13 and above), ‘16’ (for viewers aged 16 and above) and ‘18’ (for viewers aged 18 and above). BERNAMA FILE PIX
