The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a man bearing the title “Tan Sri” in connection with an alleged large-scale investment scam that is believed to have caused losses exceeding RM300 million nationwide over the past two years.

The public has been urged not to overlook any activities that could tarnish the image of Islam, including the use of pondok schools (traditional religious schools), madrasah and tahfiz schools, for alleged illicit activities such as money laundering or deviant teachings.
