Truck catches fire at Bukit Jelutong Toll Plaza
No casualties reported in truck fire incident
SHAH ALAM - A one-tonne truck erupted in flames at the Bukit Jelutong Toll Plaza here today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said that a team from the Bukit Jelutong Fire and Rescue Station quickly responded to an emergency following a distress call received at 12.35pm.
Mukhlis disclosed that the firefighting operation involved a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
"The truck, laden with a battery load, was engulfed in flames.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties, and both the driver and occupants were absent from the scene," he said.
He also confirmed that the fire was successfully extinguished, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
