Police have recorded the statement of the founder of a daycare centre to assist investigations into its branch premises, which are believed to be involved in violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs), including alleged child abuse that recently went viral on social media.

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said statements have also been recorded from an influencer who exposed the incident, and police are inspecting closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the premises of the branches involved.

The grandfather of the late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin has urged the police to continue investigating the six-year-old’s murder, claiming that the real killer remains at large.

Tension erupted in the Sessions Court when the father of the late Zayn Rayyan, Zaim Ikhwan Zahari shouted after his wife was ordered to be sent to the Kajang Women’s Prison immediately to serve her sentence on Friday.
