The High Court today increased the jail sentence of an e-hailing driver who went viral for driving against traffic on Jalan Klang Lama two weeks ago, from three days to three months.

The Ayer Keroh Sessions Court sentences a man to eight years’ imprisonment and one stroke of the cane for attempting to murder a police inspector with a kerambit last Saturday.

A 53-year-old man was sentenced by the Sessions Court today to 30 years’ imprisonment and 18 strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter.
