Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says this was the first time the two variant lineages were detected in the country.

Khairy said the short supply of medicines is not due to panic buying but due to the high demand for certain medications following the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 earlier and the rising cases of HFMD now.
