SHAH ALAM - Petrol stations across the Klang Valley are experiencing heavy traffic as motorists hurry to use up their Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) fuel quota before the government reduces the monthly limit from 300 litres to 200 litres temporarily, effective tomorrow.
Many were seizing the opportunity to fill up their tanks, fearing they might be affected by the temporary quota adjustment.
Noor Hafiza Che Abdullah, 36, said she took the opportunity to use the remaining 100 litres of her quota.
“My husband called me to fill up because tomorrow the government will adjust it to 200 litres, so I filled the car completely,” she told Sinar.

The government announced the quota adjustment last Thursday following the Middle East conflict, which has disrupted oil supply and global economic conditions. Despite the changes, the fuel price remained at RM1.99 per litre.
Studies indicated that 90 per cent of users consumed less than 200 litres per month, which influenced the decision.
The BUDI95 quota for e-hailing and gig workers remained at 800 litres per month.
For Sabah and Sarawak, subsidised diesel will continue at RM2.15 per litre, despite rising market prices.
To prevent misuse, fuel purchases are capped: light vehicles, public land transport, goods and private vehicles are limited to 50 litres per purchase.
Vehicles not exceeding three tonnes have a maximum of 100 litres per purchase, while vehicles over three tonnes are limited to 150 litres per purchase.
Foreign-registered vehicles are prohibited from buying RON95 and may only purchase RON97.
