The government’s application to dismiss the originating summons filed by Hindraf over its deregistration will be heard before a new High Court judge on May 14.

The Court of Appeal has dismissed an Indonesian mother's appeal seeking a declaration that her teenage son is a Malaysian citizen.

The High Court ruled that the disputed 263.272 acres (106.542 hectares) of land in Mukim Batu, here, known as the "Duta Enclave", should be returned to Semantan Estate Sdn Bhd, hence declaring the government’s 1956 acquisition of the land invalid.
