A month of demonstrations driven by public outrage over Mahsa Amini's death after the morality police arrested her for an alleged breach of the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women.

Last Thursday, a sacked policeman killed 36 people - including 24 children - in Uthai Sawan in Nong Bua Lamphu province, about 500 km northeast of Bangkok.
