Former MotoGP racer: Insurance companies only cover sanctioned events

Former national MotoGP racer Shahrol Yuzy Ahmad Zaini.

Shahrol’s advice -- aired in the latest episode of Sinar Daily’s Sports Matter podcast -- came against the backdrop of a spate of deadly unsanctioned racing tournaments organised throughout the country.

"Motor sports are high-risk and dangerous activities. Recognition is an important aspect to ensure the safety of spectators, officials, and racers alike.
