Yesterday, Pharmaniaga reported a net loss of RM607.32 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022 (FY2022) against a net profit of RM172.15 million in the previous year.

The electric utility says despite the 16.5 per cent higher operating profit, earnings were lower due mainly to higher finance cost and tax expenses, including an additional tax in the form of Cukai Makmur totalling RM340.8 million for the year.

Yesterday, Farm Fresh Bhd announced the proposed acquisition of a 65 per cent stake in The Inside Scoop Sdn Bhd, an ice-cream maker with 37 retail outlets nationwide, via share purchase and subscription for a total of RM83.9 million.
