University Malaya senior lecturer at the Department of Social Administration and Justice, Dr Noralina Omar said homelessness stems from economic pressure such as high cost of living, low wages, and education level to name a few.

The victim did not have any suspicion as they were to marry in January, this year, and thus transferred the RM10,900 to the account number provided by the man.

Jempol district police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook said the victim’s body was found floating at 4.55pm around five kilometres (km) from the operations control post established by police and Fire and Rescue personnel near the location where the victim went missing yesterday.
