Children living in charity homes associated with GISBH face the risk of being declared "anak wati' syubhah” or children born from illegitimate intercourse if there is no valid acknowledgement of lineage from their parents.

The Sessions Court sentenced an unemployed man to 29 years in prison and given 11 strokes of the cane for sexually assaulting and raping his 11-year-old niece six years ago.
