SHAH ALAM - The MYJalan application has received over 4,900 road complaint reports, including potholes and damaged signboards, since its launch in August.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi revealed that only 27 per cent of these complaints fall under the ministry's jurisdiction, specifically roads managed by the Public Works Department (JKR), federal roads, and highways.

The remaining complaints pertain to state roads and roads under local authorities (PBT).

"The MYJalan application serves not only as a complaint reporting platform but also as a valuable tool for building a comprehensive database of all roads.

"This information can be utilised by states and PBTs to strengthen their claims for additional funding from the Finance Ministry for road maintenance and improvement projects," Nanta said during Sinar Town Hall session at the Karangkraf Group Auditorium today.

Since its launch, the MYJalan app has been downloaded by over 9,000 users nationwide.
