Authorities await autopsy results amid claim of 200 stab wounds

Earlier, the victim’s mother claimed during a press conference that the pathologist had informed her there were about 200 stab wounds on her daughter.

PETALING JAYA - Police are still waiting for the full autopsy report before they can confirm the number of stab wounds sustained by a 16-year-old female student who was killed at a secondary school in Bandar Utama here last Tuesday.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said authorities were currently awaiting the complete autopsy findings for the case.

"So far, we have recorded statements from 127 witnesses consisting of students, teachers, school staff, counsellors, as well as the victim’s and suspect’s family members.

"Police will also take statements from other individuals if there are additional witnesses who can assist in the investigation," he said on Friday.

Earlier, the victim’s mother claimed during a press conference that the pathologist had informed her there were about 200 stab wounds on her daughter.

In the incident, a 16-year-old female student was fatally stabbed by a 14-year-old male student in the girls’ toilet at the school.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and remanded for seven days under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

It was reported that Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said police confirmed the discovery of a handwritten note reading, "This world is fake. I have won," believed to have been written by the 14-year-old male student.
