SHAH ALAM - A heated altercation inside a popular coffee chain has gone viral after footage emerged showing a confrontation between a barista and a customer that quickly spiralled out of control.

The video, which has been widely circulated online, shows the customer muttering in Mandarin before the barista gestures for her to leave.

The customer then shouts at the barista and deliberately spills a cup of coffee across the counter.

In response, the barista grabs the same cup and throws it back, prompting the customer to hurl nearby items in retaliation.
