SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently posted on his Instagram about his joyride in a Toyota iQ during a trip to Kawamukocho, Japan back in May.
Now, the small city car has officially arrived in Malaysia, complete with a flashy and very cheeky number plate: APA 100.
The comment section was filled with pure energy in the best way possible.
A social media user said "Tun and technology can't be separated, Love you Tun M!"
Fans showered him with admiration too, with one calling him "a distinguished and greatly contributing statesman" while another hyped him up with, "Steady, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad."
But the star of the show was not just Dr Mahathir, it was that tiny Toyota IQ, so small and cute that netizens simply could not cope.
One fan summed it up perfectly: "The car is so cute!!!"
The Toyota iQ is a compact city car produced from 2008 to 2015. It is famous for its clever engineering that squeezes impressive interior space into a body just under three metres long.
Production ended in 2015 due to declining sales, which makes the car even more of a rare sight on Malaysian roads.
