SHAH ALAM - Forget waiting for present this Christmas.

Fans are clearing their schedules for this huge present because the universe of K-pop Demon Hunters is sliding into 1 Utama from Dec 25 to Jan 18, turning the mall into a big real-life Pop-Up for stans and everyone who simply wants a cute moment for the gram.

The global pop-up tour has been bouncing from city to city since its Seoul debut on Dec 4. Momentum only skyrocketed after Netflix dropped the announcement revealing two new hotspots on the map which is Hong Kong and Petaling Jaya (PJ).

For Malaysia, it’s a bit of a flex. PJ now stands proudly beside Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo and Taipei in this star-studded tour lineup and if you’re a fan of The Saja Boy bands or the fictional idol group Huntr/X, consider this your early holiday blessing.

Of course, no pop-up is complete without merch and this one is a wallet-destroyer. Think apparel, stationery, accessories, toys, collectables and all the small cute things that make you say “I deserve this” even when your bank account disagrees.

The Seoul edition even featured a customisable gift station, where visitors could DIY their own patches. Fingers crossed the Petaling Jaya stop blesses fans with the same experience.

Since its release in June, K-pop Demon Hunters has charmed both animation lovers and K-pop stans around the world, turning into a full-blown global hit. Its soundtrack did heavy lifting too, especially Golden, which alone reached one billion streams on Spotify in just 149 days.

And for fans already asking for more, there’s good news. A sequel is officially locked in and coming your way in 2029.

Before arriving in Malaysia, the franchise announced pop-up stops in Singapore before continuing its journey through Bangkok, Tokyo and Taipei. Now, PJ gets its turn and you can bet the fans will show up in full force.
