According to the social media post, the incident was noticed by a Felcra worker on the way to work between 7am and 8am. The sighting has caused unease among locals, particularly rubber tappers who start their day early in the morning.

Pahang Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director Rozidan Md Yassin said the department received a report and an initial investigation by district officers confirmed the presence of the tiger based on fresh tracks.

"Through the video that circulated today, it is believed to show the same tiger reported on Nov 22," he said on Monday.

He added that Perhilitan is working to capture the animal due to the frequent discovery of tracks in plantation areas, residential spots and nearby locations, which has raised concern among the community.

"We are carrying out continuous monitoring through regular patrols and the installation of camera traps to track its movement and assess its condition. Traps have also been set at strategic points," he said.

Rozidan advised residents to stay alert, avoid being outdoors alone at night in farm or forest-edge areas and work together in groups when doing agricultural activities.
