In another clip, a caregiver changing a baby’s diaper was seen wiping the child’s buttocks with a tissue before using the same tissue on the baby’s face.

“That baby in the middle is my child. My son is only six months old and knows nothing.

“I waited four years for him, suffered four miscarriages and carried him for nine months. My heart is shattered seeing him treated this way,” she wrote in an emotional post.

She also voiced frustration over the slow pace of arrests, noting that while one suspect had been detained, another remained at large.

The user said she would wait until the end of the week, warning that if no further arrest was made, she would release the videos one by one.

Police action and investigation

Cheras District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan confirmed that authorities had received three police reports related to the case, involving victims aged between six and nine months.

“The suspect, a 26-year-old woman, was arrested on Dec16 for investigation by the Sexual Crimes, Women and Children (D11) Division, Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) Kuala Lumpur,” he said in a statement.

Aidil added that the case is classified under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children Act 2001 and investigations are still ongoing.

Public reaction and parental concerns

The revelations have fuelled intense reactions online, with many netizens voicing anger, sadness and concern over child safety in care facilities.

“Oh God, please check mental health before allowing anyone to work in jobs related to child care. It really makes my blood boil,” user @azie_mus1978 wrote.

Another user, @ieylindasrbnn, commented: “This is why many working mothers are willing to stop working and look after their children at home 24 hours a day.”

“It is not cheap to send a child to a nursery, and then you treat someone else’s child harshly. There is absolutely no empathy in these people,” user @cik_nad78 said.

Meanwhile, @beta_sp_ highlighted that some people wait for years to have a child. Hence, the user urged others not to harm an innocent baby and warned that people should not take on the role of a caregiver if they cannot be patient.

Why the case matters

Beyond the immediate investigation, the case has sparked broader conversations about childcare standards, caregiver screening and accountability at nurseries.

Parents have called for stricter oversight and better safeguards to protect infants who are unable to speak for themselves.

As investigations continue, many families say they are watching closely, hoping for justice for the victims and stronger measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
