SHAH ALAM – “Insya-ALLAH everything is currently going very well… just wait.”
That was the brief response from Muafakat Nasional (MN) chairman Tan Sri Annuar Musa when asked about the latest developments in the relationship between Pas and Bersatu, including MN, on Monday.
The Pas Central Working Committee member also explained that there was no need to comment further at this time.
“There is no need for too many comments at the moment,” he said when contacted by Sinar on Monday.
Previously, reports indicated that several senior Pas leaders had begun issuing signals and warnings towards Bersatu, including Pas vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, who posted a status reading ‘a crack waiting to split’ on social media.
Pas Central Election Director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was also seen as hinting at the possibility of Pas working together again with Umno through Muafakat Nasional (MN) in preparation for the 16th General Election (GE16).
Earlier, Pas information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari had shared a Facebook post touching on the issue of friends turning against one another, although he did not directly link it to the situation in Perlis or Pas’ relationship with Bersatu.
The remarks were believed to have been made following the Perlis political crisis, which culminated in a Bersatu representative being sworn in as the state’s Menteri Besar on Sunday.
The Perlis Bersatu State Leadership Council (BPN) chairman Abu Bakar Hamzah, was sworn in as the 12th Menteri Besar, replacing Pas assemblyman Mohd Shukri Ramli of Sanglang, who stepped down due to health reasons last Thursday.
