SHAH ALAM – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has strongly denied claims that the party will return to cooperating with the government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Bersatu Secretary-General Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the party also rejected allegations of meetings and discussions between its leaders and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) aimed at forming cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH).

“These malicious and baseless allegations were taken from politically bankrupt individuals attempting to cover up their failure and betrayal in the ‘Langkah Bangkok’ movement.

“Be cautious of statements and reports from immoral individuals who are roaming around trying to break the unity within Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“Do not be deceived by cruel and evil whispers meant to block Bersatu’s progress. Reports from such immoral sources must be verified and investigated first,” he said in a statement on Friday.

Azmin claimed that the spread of such allegations is increasing because Bersatu is growing stronger with support from the public and professionals.

He said the Bersatu brand is attracting Malaysians, while the experience and track record of its leaders – particularly Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin – have proven their capability in governing the country effectively.

“Its simple, inclusive, progressive image and people-focused policies have generated widespread support,” he added.
