“We are not here to be hostile towards anyone, nor are we here to attack any party. Instead, we have gathered to take a step forward in uniting the ummah and strengthening the solidarity of the Malay-Muslim community,” he said in his address at the convention.

Ikmal stressed that the unity initiative was not intended to sideline other communities, but rather to ensure Malaysia remains peaceful and harmonious through mutual respect among its diverse population.

“We want to ensure that this country continues to enjoy peace and harmony. At the same time, relations among different communities must continue to be strengthened through respect and understanding,” he added.

He also described the presence of Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who officiated the convention around 4pm, as a great honour for supporters in attendance.

He said Abdul Hadi is widely respected not only as an Islamic scholar but also as a political leader who has helped steer Pas to numerous achievements, transforming it into one of the country’s most influential political parties.

The convention drew attendees from various segments of society, including professionals, youths, entrepreneurs, community activists, Orang Asli representatives and supporters from multiple states.
