UiTM student tops ACCA exams
SHAH ALAM - Nor Anis Syafika Zumi Azlan from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), achieved the highest marks in Malaysia and the world in Management Information in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) December 2021 examinations.
The girl from the university's Faculty of Accountancy was awarded prize winner by ACCA when the results were recently announced.
Anis Syafika who hailed from Pasir Mas, Kelantan shared that communicating well with her lecturers and understanding the principle of the subject were key factors in her success.
“Our lecturers are always available when the students needed questions answered. They made it very easy for us to study and gave real-world examples that helped us understand the topics better.” she said in a press release on Jan 24.
She said to help her manage her online learning better, she transformed her study area into a classroom-like environment and made sure that she got enough sleep every day.
This, she added boosted her confidence and increased her motivation to remain focused.
The bright girl shared that she wanted to venture into forensic accounting in the future and was confident that attaining a professional accounting qualification will bring her closer to her dreams.
UiTM vice chancellor Professor Dr Roziah Mohd Janor expressed her pride in Anis Syafika’s accomplishments and hoped that UiTM students would always strive and give their best in all their endeavors.
Dr Roziah also stated that in order to be a high-performing university, UiTM will provide and equip a constructive environment for students and lecturers to have a global mindset and be able to compete internationally in making UiTM globally renowned.
