Only RM4 for a chicken in Perak via Kedai Bergerak

IPOH - The Perak state government, through its Agricultural Development Corporation (PPPNP), will continue to sell standard chicken for RM4 each via the Kedai Bergerak Negeri Perak (KBNP)
Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said that the price will only be available to customers whose receipts amount to more than RM25.
According to him, sales for raw chicken can be implemented only if the supply of livestock is sufficient.
"This is a good thing because consumers can now buy other items and still purchase chickens at such a cheap price.
"I am confident that PPPNP can execute this provided that the supply of livestock is sufficient because they raise chickens themselves," he told reporters at the Perak State Government Customer Meeting Day 2022 in Indera Mulia Stadium on Tuesday.
Saarani also reiterated his stance that the Perak state government does not plan to follow the Selangor state government's move of setting the ceiling price for chicken at RM8 per kilogram.
