Lilit X Nurita Harith depicts the calmness of the sea

There is a certain calmness that the sea brings – the cool blue waters, sound of soft waves crashing and the feeling of warm sand beneath your toes.

Fashion designer Nurita Harith incorporates these elements into her latest collection titled “Slightly Sentimental” which was done in collaboration with modest fashion brand, Lilit.

Slightly Sentimental, which also acts as a pre-Eid teaser, eludes the sense of freedom and happiness.

Memories of being by the beach at sunset in Cape Town, South Africa inspired Nurita to bring to life dreamy, fluid prints across the collection’s range of tops, bottoms, dresses, hijabs in sleek silhouette.

In addition to clothes, the collection also offers bucket bags to match.

You can expect to be spoiled with a colour palette of soft blue, white, brown, dusty peach and nude.

Nurita said her aim was to create a collection that can spark joy, encourage self-love and ignite the passion within for all women.

“We hope the collection will allow those who don our pieces to be present during the festive season but still be sentimental for the days that give us joy,” she said.

Nurita is known for her soft layers and drapes and this is definitely witnessed in this collection in addition to soft pleats.

According to Nurita, the collection took about a year to materialise due to the ongoing pandemic.

Creating the designs also brought upon some challenges for the Nurita “This a bit more challenging than what I used to do as the designs had to be in line with the modest fashion concept that Lilit stands for,” she explained.
