SHAH ALAM - Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has slammed Umno for using 'political frogs' to topple the federal and a few state governments since 2020.

"Strangely enough, it was Umno, which earlier overthrew the state government in Perak by allowing 'political frogs' to join them, then overthrew the Federal government, and collaborated with Bersatu to topple the Sabah government.

“They took in these ‘frogs’ and now they are saying that it is Muda to do the same,” he said in an interview with Sinar Ahad.

This follows after assertions that the new party accepts political frogs after Nurainiee Haziqah, previously a PKR turned Bersatu member, is now part of Muda's executive committee.

However, during the interview, Syed Saddiq stressed that Muda does not accept those without principles.

Syed Saddiq also said Muda is comprised of many different segments of youth including those formerly from other parties.

“We have members from other parties but they are not mandated by the people and this is the person we want to put forward, those who may have previously been sidelined as Muda is new in politics, and we focus on service to the people, public policies and uniting the people.

“Not just religious and racial factors but political ideology as well, it is important that they want to see Muda as a machine, a vehicle to serve, uphold the rights of Malaysians, and build a developed and dignified Malaysia,” he said.
