MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms, heavy rains, strong winds in several states

SHAH ALAM - Thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds are expected to occur in several states, this evening.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement issued at 4.15pm said several areas in Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak are involved.

It stated that the bad weather condition is expected to last until 7pm at Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu in Kedah, Larut, Matang, Selama and Hulu Perak in Perak, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang in Kelantan and Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu.

It also stated that Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro), Kapit (Song, Kapit and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang in Sarawak and the interior of Sabah (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Tambunan), Pantai Barat, Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan and Kudat, Sabah and Labuan are expected to experience similar weather condition until 6pm
