SHAH ALAM - Perkasa President Datuk Ibrahim Ali is the fifth child and eldest boy of 13 children.

He was sent to live with his uncle at an early age as his parents were unable support a big family. He took up part-time jobs to pay school fees to complete his lower and upper Six in a private school, Maktab Abadi, and went on to finish PhD at a later age in life.

The tough life saw him championing for the rights of Malays as the country was just developing, from being a student activist to Pasir Mas MP in 1986.

However, he has courted several controversies along the way, among them were mocking the late Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh who was wheel-chair bound for failing to stand while speaking. He created another uproar for his perceived sexist remarks in Parliament, blaming "wives who neglect their responsibilities" for Malaysian men having extramarital sex and his famous "white any pow" packet incident and Is he still the same?
