SHAH ALAM - Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi calls Communication and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa's stance into question when the latter stated 'Pas Leaks' were not that big of a deal.

He instead insisted that the matter be taken seriously.

"Is the content of Pas Leaks considered normal? One should think before they speak.

"Of course, loyal party members will always be vigilant with every statement and every step they make, monitor the stances and actions of their party leaders as well as their opponents. Do not be easily deceived!," he said in a post on Facebook on Saturday.

'Pas Leaks' are documents allegedly containing meeting minutes detailing the ousting of certain Umno leaders.

The meeting minutes, which also spoke of taking down Barisan Nasional (BN) and putting Ahmad Zahid in jail, went viral on social media this past week.

Ahmad Zahid said that Annuar's statement went against the standing of Umno's Kelantan division.

"Whilst our enemies are plotting against us, we as members of the same party must be smarter and stay one step ahead of them.

"We should not turn against each other in such trying times when we have one common enemy.

"This is not the first time that he has made such statements that do not align with the party. I am starting to think that this is no longer a coincidence," he added.

Yesterday, Annuar stated that he was confident there were still room for cooperation between Umno and Pas through Muafakat Nasional to face the 15th General Election (GE15) despite the documents, which allegedly contained a secret plan to bring down Umno leaders, had already gone viral.

He had added that the current deadlock between the two parties was only temporary and efforts to strengthen ties should be continued.

He told reporters this when paying a courtesy call on Pas spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin at the Perlis Pas Complex. Earlier in the day, he was quoted saying describing the ‘PasLeaks’ as something not unusual and did not needed to be played up.

Annuar had said based on his understanding after going through the document, they were only notes by Pas leaders in establishing facts and views of other political party leaders.
