SHAH ALAM - Sinar Harian clinched the bronze award for Best Use of Mobile category at the Malaysia Digital Association (MDA) Awards last night.

Sinar Karangkraf Group head of marketing Nik Justin Nik Mohd Ariffin said the award evaluated via the Sinar Harian mobile application.

Sinar Harian came in third after two international agencies, Media Compete and Mindshare who won gold and silver respectively.

"This is a major achievement for us as we had developed the application on our own without the help of any external agencie," he said.

This, he said was even a sweeter and significant seeing that Sinar Harian was nominated amongst global agencies.

"We were the only Malaysian media chosen as finalist and won, it is a huge milestone for us," he said.

The award is organised by MDA annually to recognise all top digital players in Malaysia.
