PKR Youth aims to solidify goal, stand for transparency and integrity

SHAH ALAM - PKR Youth Leadership (AMK) solidifies their ultimate goal to rework the idealism of their fight during the congress today.

Its chief Akmal Nasir said the goal was crucial to guide them through the challenges of the country’s political landscape not only in 2022 but also in the future for the party to be reformative.

“This principle is essential as a guide for us to go through the twists and turns of the country’s political landscape in 2022 and the incoming years so that this sacred party remains the best platform to bring about reform and change in the country.

“Therefore, the theme of ‘Build People’s Confidence’ is the backbone of the Youth Annual National Congress for this year with the hope of surprising us all to rise from the hallucinations of the election and instead focus on the real issues out there,” he said during the PKR congress on July 15 held at IDCC Shah Alam, Selangor.

He further mentioned three important issues which are the capability of the party to build confidence among the people, what do the people want as well as how the party could build people’s confidence in them.

In addition, he said their stance on transparency and integrity issues were unparalleled.

He mentioned how their determination to fight corruption and abuse of power has even been recognised on the state level.

“PKR Youth has loudly condemned the ownership of shares by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner by conducting a protest convoy in front of the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya, followed by demonstrations of handing over a memorandum in Parliament and police reports nationwide.

“Our determination has even been passed on to the state level, for example Perak Youth which previously uncovered a case involving a special officer’s land scandal and Penang Youth which recently submitted a report on malpractice in Bangladeshi (foreign workers) labour,” he added.
