PETALING JAYA – Parti Amanah Negara declined every proposal to replace the Prime Minister soon as the 15th General Election 15 (GE15) is approaching.

Its president Mohamad Sabu said Amanah would support the Prime Minister until Parliament had been dissolved between August and July next year.

He said the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Transformation and Political Stability between the Federal Government and Pakatan Harapan (PH) would not end this July 31, but until the Parliamentary was dissolved.

“The MoU does not end on this July 31 but (in MoU) cannot be held by the GE until end of this July and in the MoU is not mentioned when the end date (of the MoU) is.

“If possible, let’s wait until after the general election because if we changed the Prime Minister soon with the general election coming, that would not bring many benefits,” he told reporters today.

In the meantime, he said any party’s participation through the ‘big tent’ concept other than PH’s coalition would only be decided by the PH Presidential Council.

Mohamad said Amanah could not make any solo negotiations or solo cooperation with other parties, but every consultation should go through PH altogether.

“We will bring this matter to the PH Presidential Council and from there we will make a movement that should be approved together, Amanah won’t make a solo decision,” he said.
