The Bagan Datuk MP said despite Federal Court’s decision to reject Najib’s bid to adduce fresh evidence should be respected, this does not prevent the public, Umno members and leaders to show solidarity with former Umno president Najib.
"Indeed justice is a long journey. There is an expression that there are three types of truth. Your truth, my truth and the truth. Truth is God's word.
"Let us bring our hearts together, in solidarity with Najib Razak. Don't despair. Continue to fight with us.
"He has contributed a lot to Umno and BN," he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Najib's defence team had tried to postpone the hearing on the final appeal of the SRC International Sdn Bhd involving RM42 million but it was rejected by the Federal Court.
The Federal Court on the same day had rejected Najib's application to include additional evidence involving the position of Judge Datuk Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali with the argument that it was not relevant to the appeal proceedings.
Meanwhile, Zahid said that during the 22 months during Pakatan Harapan's (PH) rule, Najib helped to boost Umno image and counter-attacks by the opposition base on “data and facts”, which he presented to his strong social media following.
"During the Sabah, Melaka and Johor State Elections, he campaigned to help Umno and BN win. This is the Najib Razak that we respect.
"It must be acknowledged that Najib's Facebook is very influential in the country.
"He is the King of Social Media and had managed to help restore Umno quickly," he said.
